Which features can I track and why are they important?

The Oova platform is about much more than just monitoring your hormone levels.

The Oova app includes various features that can be tracked, and they all play a unique role in understanding your fertility. See below for a list of the most common things we enable you to track and why they are important.

  • Period: Your period is one of the most important pieces of information you need to log in to the app. This critical component of our algorithm enables you to scan on specific days. It tells us when Cycle Day 1 is and enables us to estimate when your fertile window will be.
  • Cervical Fluid/Mucus: Cervical mucus is a fluid produced by the cervix that changes throughout your menstrual cycle. The cervical mucus consistency directly results from your hormone levels, so it can be informative to track how cervical mucus changes throughout your cycle. For example, egg-white cervical mucus indicates fertility.
  • Sleep: Getting enough sleep each night is critical to one's physical and emotional health and well-being. Tracking sleep can help ensure you are getting enough rest. For more details read our article about How to Keep Up a Healthy Sleep Schedule.
